Um ... could he be any hotter?!
On Monday afternoon X17 photographers snapped Rob Pattinson on the set of his new film, Maps to the Stars, and the British hunk made us weak in the knees when we got a glimpse of him in a suit. In the film Rob plays a limo driver/aspiring actor who falls for Mia Wasikowska's character, who has just been released from a psychiatric hospital. Sounds twisted ... and we love it!
Today Rob's ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart was snapped jetting off to Europe to shoot her new movie, Sils Maria. Interestingly enough, Wasikowska was originally cast in the flick for K. Stew's part, but she dropped out. Rob did visit Kristen the other day, but until we see him jetting off to Europe, we're going to go ahead and assume that the Twilight co-stars are still on a break..
Lea michele's New Smiling photos Dont mean She's Not grievingls
Lea Michele's touching tribute to Cory Monteith at the Teen Choice Awards showed not only how devastated she is, but how much she is determined to recover and to find solace in friends and fans who also loved Cory. She continues living her life by filming Glee and working on her forthcoming book Brunette Ambition. Some new photos she posted on Instagram show her getting her makeup done and getting her wavy mane of chestnut hair styled. Unfortunately, some people have chosen to criticize this as a sign that the actress isn't really grieving.
Honestly, Lea would have been criticized no matter what she did. If she walled herself away from the world, wore mourning garb, and never left her bedroom (what people did only a century ago, after all), everyone would say that she's given up or is being overly dramatic.
If she was photographed crying, the critique would be that she's milking her grief.
But pics of her looking glamorous and happy are harped on as not sufficiently sad and depressing.
Seriously, people, WTF? Everyone grieves differently, and grief is a process, a journey. Some days, some moments, you feel normal again. Then it all comes crashing down on you. You might take a photo where you are smiling and appear ecstatic, and 10 seconds later, you are crumpled on the floor. But people only see the smiling photo.
I learned never to judge another person's reactions to shock and tragedy when, several years ago, I got one of the biggest, most devastating shocks of my life. I cried all night, hysterically. But three days later, I was out drinking with friends and cracking jokes. And even flirting with a guy.
Later that night, back in my room, I cried all night again.
But if anyone had taken photos of me out at a bar with my friends, they would have said, "Oh, she's not upset at all!"
It was the exact opposite. I felt if I stayed home with my grief, I would disappear. Something compelled me to get out and try to at least feel a smidgen of normal for even a moment. Intellectually, it made no sense. Emotionally, it was what I was compelled to do. It's called survival. Those of us who are still around and kicking have survival instincts, and those instincts kick in when you're ready to off yourself.
This is why I didn't even judge Casey Anthony after she was photographed partying when her daughter disappeared. Did I think it was something I would do? No. But I don't judge, I just don't judge, because I don't know what anyone is feeling. (I will judge the other weird stuff she did, but that's another post.)
That said, Lea looks gorgeous in these new photos, and if getting her hair done gave her a moment's reprieve from being focused about Cory's death, then that's a precious gift.
Disturbing Details on Amanda Bynes' Condition Mean She’s Not Faking It
Disturbing Details on Amanda Bynes' Condition Mean She’s Not Faking It
This week Amanda Bynes was involuntarily committed to a psychiatric facility after setting a firein some random stranger's driveway in Thousand Oaks, California. Thank goodness she didn't manage to light herself, her dog, or anyone else on fire, but going around and starting fires is never a sign of good mental health, especially following so many months of bizarre, puzzling, and often downright bordering on dangerous behavior. NowAmanda's parents are seeking an involuntary conservatorship, which would put them in charge of her finances and mental health care. Some disturbing details have emerged from court documents about Amanda.
According to TMZ, who somehow got a hold of the conservatorship bid court records, Amanda's parents point out that:
- The fire in California proves that Amanda is in danger of physically harming herself.
- Amanda is not capable of taking care of her own finances, and they point out that over amillion dollars disappeared from her bank account.
- Amanda has "profound issues with her body image" and is "obsessed with the fact that she (and others) are ugly." (Oh yes, we all know that!)
- She spends "a substantial amount" for marijuana and other illegal substances.
- She is detached from reality, for example saying that she "cabbed it" from New York to Los Angeles. (Maybe this is where her money went. Bad joke.)
- Her parents believe she is homeless despite owning two properties. She was forced out from numerous other properties due to her erratic behavior.
- She is "extremely paranoid about being watched," and she covers smoke alarms with towels and tapes windows shut to prevent cameras from taking pictures of her (which isn't an entirely unreasonable worry, given the paparazzi!).
- Her parents say they will provide round-the-clock care for Amanda in their home but not seek treatment for her because she does not believe she needs care. (Good luck with that one, parents!)
Doctors reportedly think Amanda "has schizophrenic tendencies" and are holding her for another two weeks for further evaluation. TMZ reports that she has long stretches where she appears normal, but then has disturbing signs of mental illness, including berating and insulting her psych ward roommate and accusing her parents of trying to kill her.
This is a very serious situation and it wasn't going to be long before Amanda's behavior got into dangerous territory. I really feel for what her parents are going through. And Amanda herself. But at least she has some chance now of getting help.
Do you think Amanda is schizophrenic?
Carly Rae Jepsen Does Not Have a Future In Baseball
Carly Rae Jepsen, Canadian’s one-hit wonder singing sensation, was asked to throw out the ceremonial first pitch Sunday at the Rays game and it did not go well for anyone. Check out the absolutely awful pitch she launched, and the reaction which accompanied the atrocity. Good game, good effort.

After 99 shows a stage injury that the music superstar had been hiding worsened, leaving her unable to walk. With about 20 shows remaining, it was determined that Gaga had suffered a labral tear of the right hip that required surgery.
"It was [devastating] because I couldn't finish," said Gaga, who still practiced choreography in bed while recovering from surgery. "I couldn't give every fan in the United States what they deserved, which was to see that show and continue the message."
Gaga explained that the message behind Born This Way enabled her to grow a deeper relationship with concertgoers, saying, "The connection I built with my fans now is so different than what it was before. It means so much more."
